The 2023 Honda Civic Touring came into Blossom Installations looking for a serious audio transformation — not just a mild improvement, but a full‑scale upgrade worthy of the Touring badge. The factory 12‑channel Bose system provides a decent starting point, but like most OEM premium setups, it leaves performance on the table. That’s where Blossom‑level craftsmanship takes over.

Rebuilding the Front Stage for Maximum Clarity
After consulting with the customer, we focused on the five most influential speakers in the Bose ecosystem — the ones that shape imaging, detail, and overall musicality.
• Sony GS components replaced the factory front dash tweeters and midbass drivers
• Powered by an Infinity Reference amplifier for clean, controlled output
• The entire front stage was rebuilt to deliver crisp highs, warm mids, and a more dynamic presentation
This upgrade alone dramatically improves the Civic’s soundstage, but we didn’t stop there.

Rear Door Enhancement
The rear doors received Sony GS series speakers, maintaining tonal consistency throughout the cabin. These continue to run off the factory Bose amplifier, which integrates beautifully once the front stage is properly balanced.

Subwoofer Upgrade: More Power, More Precision
The factory subwoofer was replaced with a Kicker CompRT, chosen for its shallow‑mount design and impressive output. To ensure perfect fit and performance:
• A custom in‑house adapter was fabricated
• The sub was powered with 500 watts of Infinity Reference power
• A bass knob was added for real‑time control
To eliminate unwanted resonance, the OEM enclosure was reinforced with SoundShield triple‑layer damping, ensuring tight, controlled bass with zero rattles.

Vibration Control & OEM Integration
Small details make big differences:
• 1/8” gasket material applied to door pods and speakers for tighter midbass
• Load resistors added across all five amplified channels to keep Bose electronics stable
• A dedicated 4‑gauge OFC power and ground run for maximum current delivery and system reliability
These steps protect the vehicle’s electronics while unlocking the full potential of the upgraded hardware.

Precision Tuning with the RTA Rig
Hardware is only half the story — tuning is where the magic happens.
Using the AudioControl RTA system, we:
• Checked factory Bose output for distortion
• Set amplifier gains using proper test tones
• Dialed in high‑pass filters for the front midbass drivers
• Finished with a full musical listening session to refine the final voicing
This ensures the system performs not just technically well, but musically well — the Blossom Installations signature.
