Ford Ranger Transformation: Blossom Style

Wednesday, March 25th, 2026

This one‑owner, pristine Ford Ranger just received a full audio rebirth — the kind of build where every detail matters.

Up front, a Pioneer AVH‑521EX touchscreen pairs with a CAM300 + FRAME‑BLK backup camera for modern functionality. All signal and power delivery is handled by premium Stinger 4000‑series interconnects and pure 4‑gauge OFC power/ground for maximum current flow.

To eliminate panel resonance, the doors were treated with 11 sq ft of Soundshield triple‑layer damping, creating the perfect foundation for a set of Kicker KS‑series component speakers.

The rear jump seats? Gone — replaced with a custom enclosure housing dual Kicker Comp subwoofers, wrapped in special‑order Opal automotive carpet with a black vinyl accent that blends seamlessly with the OEM interior.

At the heart of it all is Kicker’s new LX500.4 DSP amplifier, running a tri‑mode configuration:

• Channels 1 & 2 → front stage in stereo
• Channels 3 & 4 → bridged to a high‑power mono channel for the subs
(No rear speakers needed in this design.)

But the magic doesn’t stop at installation.

A system like this demands a premium tune.

Using an Audiocontrol DM‑RTA, I verified a clean signal from the Pioneer, then set amplifier gains on the oscilloscope with 1 kHz and 50 Hz test tones — dialing everything in right on the razor’s edge of performance. From there, I set speaker delays, crossover types, designs, and slopes, unlocking an impressive +15 dB at 80 Hz after tuning.

The final step is always the same:
I sit back with my playlist, make the last precision tweaks, and deliver a system that sounds every bit as good as it looks.

This Ranger now hits with clarity, authority, and musicality far beyond anything it left the factory with.
That’s the Blossom Installations difference.
